By implementing Yext's location pages, businesses can increase search functionality, improve content creation, and effectively manage review sites from a central location. Furthermore, Yext supports a hyper-local strategy by managing main listings and citation listings, ensuring consistent NAP data across all platforms. With its user-friendly interface and fast update capabilities, Yext's Knowledge Manager has proven to be a powerful tool for managing local listings.

Overall, Yext offers a cost-effective solution for large-scale listings management, making it a valuable asset for businesses looking to improve their online presence while saving time and resources. 3. Lack of integration with other products: Users have highlighted that Yext does not integrate well with other products or software solutions. We use Yext to ensure that our clients have accurate, up-to-date listings and reviews across Google, Yelp, and about 72 other platforms. We've found it most useful for clients at the franchise level, because their locations need a dedicated tool for accuracy, but our smaller clients have also seen gains from Yext. For those franchise clients, Yext can automatically update absolutely every listing for absolutely every location, roll out brand-wide or store or region-specific promotions, and even update on specific personnel in the medical and legal fields. It's kind of insane how powerful it is!
  • Broad updates fast - I don't have to mess with specific listings at all.
  • Duplicate suppression - A definitive information source for our clients' customers.
  • Powerful analytics - We can show accurate ROI and estimated conversions very easily.
  • Web scraper - Clients don't want to do data entry, and this is the fastest way to grab info from some of them. It could be a bit more robust, to be honest.
  • Linked entities - Useful for letting customers know, for example, where a certain medical professional will be on a certain day of the week. Not impossible to use, but it feels like it could be easier.
  • Dark mode - The UI is bright white, and I'd like something easier on the eyes.
Yext is great for bigger clients. If your client has a franchise of any kind, or even multiple locations, that's an ideal use case. For smaller clients, with one location that doesn't change a lot, Yext isn't as viable, and the effort to update maybe ten or fifteen listings would be worth it.
  • Duplicate Suppression - Yext ensures we're not giving our clients multiple listings with conflicting or incomplete information.
  • Knowledge Graph Schema - We're filling out exactly what we need to apply to every single listing service, nothing less and nothing more. That makes us more efficient with our data entry.
  • Client Accounts and Pages - For any information we don't have - Yext makes data entry fast and easy, and can auto-populate information about entities from these forms.
  • We repack Yext as an additional service, and it's an upcharge.
  • For our company directly, we use Yext, and it's helped a few clients find us, both over the phone and on Google Maps.
  • Yext's training is top-notch, and they've made it very easy to get familiar with their software. Seriously, it's some of the best training for a marketing tool I've ever seen!

Our digital marketing team utilizes Yext for unified listings and review management, and it has helped improve efficiency and ensure that all of our client data is correct, up-to-date, and on the most important sites.

  • Efficient management of online listings and citations
  • Duplicate citation suppression
  • Customer support and training
  • Relatively easy-to-use knowledge graph
  • Cost. This platform offers a lot of powerful features, but it has an expensive barrier to entry.
  • Annual contracts limit flexibility for smaller companies
  • The biggest drawback is that you need to keep your subscription active or listings/citation data will revert back to what it was pre-Yext implementation
For larger companies with multiple businesses and larger budgets, Yext absolutely makes sense. And its options for healthcare-related companies also make it a no-brainer for those types of organizations. For smaller agencies and businesses, the annual contracts and price point may make it prohibitive.

  • For our use case, it was too expensive to have a positive ROI
  • It has definitely increased efficiency and client satisfaction in terms of listing accuracy and speed of going live
Moz Local is a primary alternative to this platform. And while it's not nearly as powerful, customizable, or wide-reaching as Yext, its price point is probably more appropriate for smaller businesses/agencies.
Yext has excellent, responsive support teams. I wish they had better live chat support options, but no real complaints here.

I use Yext Knowledge Manager at my company to manage local listings of our clients. It's the most powerful local listing management platform out there. Yext Knowledge Manager grows everyday and their team continuously adds new features.
It offers:
  • Fast updates
  • Reliable data push -- Only takes one try to get data corrected on local listings
  • Great interface -- Easy to use
  • Local Listing Management -- Super reliable, fast and accurate.
  • Review Management -- Powerful feature that integrate with a large number of directories for reviews.
  • Analytics -- Provides useful data and insights for your business listings.
  • Customer support -- They offer good customer support but sometimes it might take a couple of follow-ups to get a response.
Yext Knowledge Manager is the way to go if you have the budget, manage multiple listings/locations and don't have the time to manually manage your listings. However, if you are a small business with a limited budget then Yext is probably not the best choice for you due to high costs.
  • Significantly reduced listing management time.
  • Optimized and flourished our business listings on Google, Bing, Foursquare, etc -- listings now have better visibility on SERP and maps.
Yext Knowledge Manager ranks above all other listing management platforms such as MozLocal, Rio SEO, BrightLocal etc with regards to the service they provide. They offer much faster updates, accurate data sync, allow scheduled updates, powerful templates, featured message sync.

The only downside of Yext Knowledge Manager vs other local listing management platforms is the high price tag.
